1. Our Privacy Commitment
Crop A Photo is a fully client-side image cropping tool. We do not collect, store, transmit, or process any user data on remote servers. Every image you crop stays entirely within your browser sandbox.
2. No Data Collection
We do not collect personal information, email addresses, browser fingerprints, or behavioral analytics. We do not use third-party tracking scripts, advertising pixels, or any form of user profiling technology. Google Analytics may be used for anonymous page-view metrics. Google Analytics does not receive any file contents, crop parameters, or identifiable user data from Crop A Photo.
3. Client-Side Execution Model
All image processing — including file reading, canvas rendering, crop calculation, and download generation — executes exclusively inside your local browser environment using the HTML5 Canvas API and native JavaScript runtime. At no point does any file content leave your device. You can verify this by disconnecting your internet connection after the page loads and observing that all cropping functions continue to operate normally.
4. Temporary Browser Memory
Uploaded images are loaded into volatile browser memory (RAM) solely for the duration of the cropping session. No data is persisted to disk, local storage, IndexedDB, or any other persistent storage mechanism. When you close or refresh the page, all image data is immediately purged by the browser's garbage collection process.
5. No Cookies for Cropping
Crop A Photo does not set or read any cookies related to image cropping, user preferences, or session tracking. The core cropping tool operates in a completely stateless mode. Google Analytics may set first-party cookies for traffic measurement purposes in accordance with its own privacy policy.
6. Google Analytics
We may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure basic site traffic patterns such as page views, session duration, and geographic region at country level only. GA4 does not receive any file contents, crop data, or personally identifiable information from Crop A Photo. You may opt out of GA4 tracking by using browser extensions or Google's official opt-out add-on.
7. Third-Party Services
Other than Google Analytics for anonymous traffic measurement, we do not integrate any third-party services, APIs, or external dependencies. No CDN resources process your data. All crop logic is contained within the static files served by our web server.
8. HTTPS and Transport Security
We strongly recommend accessing Crop A Photo over HTTPS. While the site does not send any user data across the network, HTTPS ensures the integrity of the static assets delivered to your browser and prevents man-in-the-middle tampering.
9. Children's Privacy
Crop A Photo does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no user data is gathered or stored, our service is inherently compliant with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) requirements.
10. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy. Changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use of the site after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
